Vehicle Classifier

When calculating the toll fee rates expressed in PLN for each km travelled on the express ways, motorways and national roads, the calculator also shows whether the vehicle is subject to toll in the viaTOLL system. The toll fee depends on the maximum permissible weight or combined maximum permissible weight of the combination of vehicles (e.g. a vehicle with a trailer) and the emission class of the vehicle.

To determine the electronic toll rate, one should choose the emission class of the vehicle and select the appropriate vehicle classification.

By using the Vehicle Classifier the user agrees to the " General Terms and Conditions for the prepaid account on confirmation of the conditions for using toll roads and on the terms and conditions for the provision of the viaBOX", " General Terms and Conditions for the post-paid account on confirmation of the conditions for using toll roads and on the terms and conditions or the provision of the viaBOX" and to the Toll Act and the Act of 21 March 1985 on Public Roads (Journal of laws of 1985, No 14, item 60 with later amendments).

    Emission Class

How to identify the emission class of the vehicle?

The emission class of the heavy vehicle may be found in the vehicle registration certificate as:

    • Explicit information specifying the Euro emission class of the vehicle (e.g. “Euro 1”, “EURO 4”), or as
    • Information specifying the relevant EU legislation/directive in which the rules and pollution limits are defined for given Euro emission classes – as listed in the dropdown list below (e.g. “93/59/EEC I”).

Alternatively, the Euro emission class may be found in the CEMT/ECMT certificate “ECMT Certificate of Compliance with Technical and Safety Requirements for a Motor Vehicle”, (e.g. “”EURO III safe”).

For light vehicles with a trailer that have a combined maximum permissible weight of 3.5 tonnes, the emission class can be determined at a diagnostic station or directly at the authorized dealer.

    Step 1

Choose the emission class and registration certificates. Please note that if you don't know the emission class or are not able to verify the classification of the emission class by a certified and accepted classification document, you have to choose EURO Norm 00.

    Step 2

Choose vehicle classification (combination of vehicles):

    Step 3

Check whether the vehicle (or a combination of vehicles) is liable for toll in the viaTOLL system and what are the toll fees on different road categories.
